Nigeria Super Eagles have called up Innocent Bonke to replace Wilfred Ndidi after the midfielder suffered an injury in the Europa Conference League with Leicester City.

Wilfred Ndidi was subbed off in the 60th minute against Stade Rennais during the week and was declared a major doubt for the World Cup Qualifiers double-header against Ghana.

As a result, FC Lorient midfielder Innocent Bonke has been called to replace the injured Ndidi ahead of the crucial double-header against Ghana.

Innocent Bonke made his debut for Nigeria against Cape Verde last year.

Nigeria will face Ghana in Kumasi on the 25th of March and the second leg will be played four days later in Abuja.
