Mohamed Kudus’ club Ajax have officially announced the sacking of Head Coach Alfred Schreuder following their 1-1 draw against Volendam.

The decision was taken few minutes after the game on Thursday night.

Chief Executive Officer of Ajax Edwin Van der Sar revealed the club has began the process of appointing a new coach ahead of their next game.

“It’s never nice to let go of people who worked hard. But we couldn’t keep going like this.” he said after Alfred Schreuder sacking.

“We are working on signing a new manager, we will work on that tomorrow” he added

Mohammed Kudus expressed his desire to leave the Ajax last summer to take a further step in his career, but the moved was blocked by the club.

The Ghanaian forward scored the last goal in Alfred Schreuder’s last game at Ajax to salvage a point for his side.

Ajax are winless in their last seven league games, it is unlikely Mohammed Kudus will be leaving Ajax in the current transfer window as the club begin their search for a new coach.
