Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oak have released a statement addressing the comments of the club’s National Circles Council PRO Cobby Jones.

Cobby Jones while talking to Sikka FM stated that they want the management to sack coach Slavko Matic after his recent poor performance at the club, a comment that has since caused a stir on social media.

However, the club released a statement on Friday morning asking Hearts of Oak fans to remain calm and channel their grievances to the club through the appropriate channels.

    Official Statement from the club:

The management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club PLC has taken notice of comments made in the media
inciting supporters to stop the Head Coach Slavko Matic from performing his duties.

As a Club, the safety of all its employees remains paramount. We are law-abiding and will therefore not
shield anyone who engages in any violent act against the spirit of the game.

We urge all Phobians to rather channel their petitions and or grievances if any, through the management to the
    Board for redress.

Please calm down and rally behind the club as we prepare for Sunday’s encounter and subsequently the
remaining fixtures of the 2022-23 season.
