Breaking: FIFA bans Nigerian coach Samson Siasia for life
Former Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has been banned for life from all football activities by FIFA for collecting bribes.
The official statement from the FIFA Ethics committee stated that Siasia attempted to manipulate matches for betting purposes. The decision to ban the Nigerian coach came after conducting a “large scale” investigation.
Following the news, Samson Siasia has denied all the allegations leveled against him.
“I don’t know anything about this. I did nothing wrong and I have not received any letter from FIFA.” he told a Nigerian journalist Colin Udoh
Samson Siasia added that he was never given the opportunity to defend himself and will do all he can to clear his name.
Samson Siasia will address a press conference at 12 noon Nigeria time (7AM EST) at the National Stadium in Abuja, Nigeria.
