Breaking: Asante Kotoko endorse George Afriyie

Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko George Amoako has stated Asante Kotoko’s support for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidential aspirant, George Afriyie in the upcoming election.

The GFA election is on October 25, 2019, and the aspirants have been campaigning for weeks.

They have also been launching their manifestos with the Vetting Committee of the Normalisation Committee disqualifying one of the seven who filed to contest in the election.

George Afriyie, who was the Vice President of the GFA under the beleaguered former President, Kwasi Nyantakyi, out doored his manifesto last Saturday.

Kotoko’s CEO, who is also vying for one of the seats on the GFA’s Executive Council, declared the club’s support for George Afriyie at his manifesto launch in Sunyani.

“Kotoko [have] attended all the campaign launches, some by other members of the Kotoko family. I, as the Chief Executive of Kotoko, have the club’s support to endorse his candidature, and you don’t just endorse a candidature for endorsing sake, it means a lot” said the CEO.
