    Black Satellites have flown out of Ghana for the 2022 Maurice Revello Tournament, formerly the Toulon tournament being hosted in France.

    The men U20 side left with head coach Karim Zito and will be hoping to win back the hearts of Ghanaian football lovers following a torrid Performance at the 2022 WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations played in Niger and won by Nigeria.

    The Black Satellites who entered the WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations as defending champions and champions of Africa exited the competition in the group stages, failing to win a game.



    Ghana’s squad for the Maurice Revello Tournament is expected to be dominated by the players who featured in the WAFU Zone B Championship.

    The likes of Gregory Sekyre (Berekum Chelsea),Augustine Agyapong (Asante Kotoko), Collins Boah (Dreams FC), Zubeiru Ibrahim (King Faisal), Jonas Adjeitey (Berekum Chelsea), Emmanuel Annor (Bechem United). Mohammed Yahaya (Tamale City), Mustapha Yakubu (Heart of Lions), Alex Opoku (Benab) and so on.

    The Black Satellites who will be playing in the competition for the first time since 2007 will compete with 12 countries from 5 continents for the ultimate.

    Ghana has been drawn in Group B alongside Mexico, Venezuela, and Indonesia. The Black Satellites will begin their campaign against Mexico on Monday, May 30 at the Stade de Lattre-de-Tassigny at 17:30 GMT.

    Ghana will then play Indonesia on Thursday, June 2 at the Stade Jules-Ladoumègue at 13:30 GMT, before playing Venezuela in the final group game at the Stade de Lattre-de-Tassigny at 14:00 GMT.

    The competition which is the 46th edition will be played from Sunday, May 29 to Sunday, June 12, 2022.
