The Ghana Black Maidens have been banned from competing in the next two editions of the FIFA U17 Women’s African Qualifiers, they have also been fined $100,000.

The ban comes after Morocco Football Federation lodged a complaint protesting that Ghana Black Maidens players Nancy Amoh and Rasheeda Shahadu falsified their date of birth and are over U17.

The Ghana Football Association was given the opportunity to defend itself against the claims and allegations by providing a written response to the CAF Disciplinary Board, but no statement was provided by Ghana FA.

Ghana can however contest the decision before the CAF Appeal Board.

Ghana Black Maidens won (2-0) the first leg of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifier but suffered a defeat in Morocco after a penalty shootout in the second leg.
