The Black Queens of Ghana have arrived in Kigali for their 2024 WAFCON Qualifier against Rwanda.

The Black Queens have arrived in Kigali in preparation for their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda. The three-time WAFCON finalist touched down on Monday night and conducted a training session at the King Pele stadium in anticipation of Wednesday’s match.

Coach Nora Hauptle selected a squad of 23 players for the journey to Kigali, including young talent Nyamekye Stella and Ampem Darkoa standout Mary Amponsah.

In the lineup adjustments, Mary Amponsah steps in for Azumah Bugre, who sustained an injury in her recent game in Sweden before the international break.

Yeboah has been delivering exceptional performances in the local league, contributing significantly to Ampem Darkoa’s achievements in clinching the double title and securing the WAFU Zone B championship.

The Black Queens will advance to the next stage if they emerge victorious against She Amavubi in this two-legged encounter. After missing out on the previous tournament in Morocco, Ghana aims for a strong comeback by securing qualification for next year’s edition.
