Ghana, considered the favorites, took control early in the semifinal match when Tracey Twum scored just past the 19-minute mark. Ophelia Amponsah then added to the lead, making it 2-0.

Despite Senegal scoring a penalty through Rokhyatou Kande, Ophelia Amponsah scored again, securing Ghana’s 3-1 victory and a place in the final.

With reaching the final accomplished, Ghana now aims even higher, setting their sights on the top honor in women’s football.
