Ghana defeated Ethiopia 2-1 on Sunday to book qualification to the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup finals in Costa Rica.

Triumphing on a three-zero first-leg victory at Addis Ababa’s Abebe Bikila Stadium, the Black Princesses sealed a 5-1 aggregate victory.

Salamtu Abdulai had a brace to make it four goals against the same opponent in the two-leg tie.

Her first came in the second minute, producing a great finish.

After 25 minutes, Abdulai slotted a low shot past the Ethiopia goalkeeper from inside the box after being put through by Cecilia Nyama.

The Ethiopians pulled one back just before the half-hour mark.

They also had two goals disallowed for offside.

The womens U20 World Cup will be hosted in Costa Rica, slated for the month of August
