Ghana’s U-20 women’s national team, the Black Princesses, have opened camp as they intensify preparations for their decisive final round qualifier against Uganda in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

A total of 32 players have been invited to camp, which officially begins on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

Among the call-ups are two fresh faces; Jennifer Dawah of Epiphany Warriors and Veronica Baah of Hasaacas Ladies, who have earned their maiden invitations to the national team for the upcoming qualifiers.

The Black Princesses booked their place in the final round after edging past South Africa with a 3-2 aggregate victory.

They are now just one step away from securing qualification to the global tournament, as they chase an impressive eighth consecutive appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Ghana will host Uganda in the first leg of the tie in Accra during the weekend of May 1–3, 2026, before traveling away for the return leg scheduled between May 8–10.

Victory over Uganda will secure Ghana a place at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, set to take place in Poland from September 5 to 27, 2026.

The technical team is expected to use the camping period to fine-tune tactics and assess player readiness ahead of the crucial two-legged encounter.
