Black Princesses coach Yussif Basigi optimistic ahead of WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup

Yussif Basigi, the coach of the Black Princesses, has shared details about how his team is preparing for the WAFU B U-20 girls cup tournament, which is being hosted in Ghana.

Basigi expressed his satisfaction with the team’s progress so far and noted that while the players still needed to work on their cohesion, he was confident that they would work well together.

He explained that he had simplified the team’s tactical play to make it easier for the players to understand and adapt to his style of play.

Basigi expressed that the team’s main focus was to win all their matches and impress Ghanaians and other stakeholders.

He also hoped that fans, particularly those in Kumasi, would show up in large numbers to support the Black Princesses during their matches, and urged those who could not attend to support the team with their prayers.

The team’s first match is scheduled for May 20, 2023, against Benin at the Baba Yara sports stadium in Kumasi, and they will be competing in Group A with Benin and Cote D’Ivoire.

Throughout the tournament, the Black Princesses hope to demonstrate their growing strength in women’s football in Ghana and showcase their talent.
