The Black Galaxies lost to Madagascar in their  Group C opener of 2022 Africa Nations Championship

Ghana lost her first game at the ongoing CHAN tournament in Algeria 2-1 to Madagascar.

Madagascar took the lead in the 10th minute through Solomampionona after some sloppy defending from the Galaxies team.

The Black Galaxies gradually settled into the game after a very jittery start. The tem looked anxious to find an equalizer before the break and were awarded a penalty which was overturned by a V.A.R check.

The Black Galaxies created several opportunities but simply couldn’t find the net.

Olivier Tokinantenaina doubled the lead for Madagascar in the 61st minute after capitalising on yet another mistake by the Galaxies defence.

Second half substitute for the Black Galaxies, Augustine Agyapong pulled one back for Ghana in the 67th minute.

Ghana pressed for an equaliser but Madagascar defended their lead so well to earn three maximum points.

The Black Galaxies will play Sudan in their next Group C encounter before facing Morocco in the final group game.
