Bibiani Goldstars’ striker Prince Owusu Kwabena acknowledges an upcoming move to Asante Kotoko.

Bibiani Goldstars’ striker, Prince Owusu Kwabena,  announced his upcoming transfer to Asante Kotoko for the second half of the season.

Following Goldstars’ 0-1 defeat to Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup’s round of 32 on Sunday in Bibiani, Kwabena shared his agreement with Kotoko in an interview with Oyerepa FM, a Kumasi-based radio station.

He expects the transfer to be finalized within the next few days.

While he didn’t provide specifics about the contract’s length, Kwabena encouraged Kotoko fans to be ready for his inclusion.

His standout performances for Goldstars in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season earned him significant recognition.

Although initial discussions with Kotoko earlier in the season didn’t materialize, it appears the 25-year-old is now on the brink of joining.

Looking back at his contributions to Goldstars, Kwabena expressed gratitude for the support and hinted that the recent match might have been his farewell appearance for the team.

Worth noting is his remarkable feat of scoring 19 goals in the Division One League Zone Two, a key factor in Goldstars’ promotion to the Premier League.

Additionally, his impressive display saw him net all four goals in a recent 4-2 victory over Legon Cities FC in the Ghana Premier League.
