Bibiani Goldstars appoint Frimpong Manso as new head coach

Bibiani Goldstars have formally named Frimpong Manso as their new head coach, effective immediately.

The former Black Stars defender is assuming the role following the departure of Michael Osei from the club.

Currently situated in the relegation zone after 13 matches in the Ghana Premier League, Goldstars have faced challenges, having not secured a victory in their last nine league fixtures.

With three losses and six draws. Manso, aged 64, is expected to revitalize the team’s performance and guide them out of the relegation zone in the remaining matches of the season.

His tenure with Goldstars will extend until the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, with an option for an extension.

Manso recently ended his association with newly-promoted side Bofoakwa Tano, where he received the Coach of the Month award for September due to a strong start in the 2023-24 campaign.
