Bibiani GoldStars announce signing of veteran defender, Vincent Atingah

Bibiani GoldStars have secured the services of former Hearts of Oak defender Vincent Atingah. The seasoned center-back has joined the Miners after parting ways with Premier League champions Medeama SC earlier in the season.

The announcement of Atingah’s signing was made, stating, “Bibiani Goldstars today have completed the signing of highly-rated Centre Back, Vincent Adae Atingah, who last played for Medeama SC. Welcome Miner!”

Known for his robust defending, Atinga is anticipated to strengthen GoldStars’ squad as they seek improvement in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.

With three years of experience at Medeama, Atinga brings valuable experience to his potential new team. The 29-year-old defender returned to the Ghana Premier League in 2021, joining Medeama after stints abroad with Kuwaiti clubs Qadsia SC and Al Shabab, as well as Albanian club KF Tirana.

During his time with Medeama, Atinga played a pivotal role in securing the team’s historic first Ghana Premier League title.

His exceptional performances were duly recognized at the inaugural GFA Awards, where he received the prestigious 2022/23 Ghana Premier League Player of the Season award.

The impending move to Bibiani Goldstars is expected to further fortify the team’s defensive capabilities.
