Asante Kotoko midfielder Latif Anabila is currently not on good terms with the club’s head coach Mariano Barreto, according to the player’s agent Alex Ackumey.

Alex Ackumey stated that Barreto told Kotoko players not to relate with Anabila and punished those who disobeyed him. He also revealed that the player has written to the management to complain about the coach’s attitude towards him.

“Latif Anabila has written letters to Kotoko mgt complaining about the attitude of Mariano Barreto towards him to the extent he has told other players not to relate to him which those players have suffered for going contrary” Alex Ackumey, manager of Latif Anabila on Oyerepa FM/TV

He then revealed that the player is likely to leave at the end of the season if Mariano Barreto’s attitude towards the player doesn’t improve.

“Should Mariano Barreto’s attitude towards him doesn’t change and continues like that we have informed management the player would like to leave”

”I want to state that Latif Anabila’s contract at Kotoko is one of the best but the coach’s attitude towards him is the reason he might leave. Should the coach stay after this season am not sure Latif will continue with Kotoko” he added

Latif Anabila has failed to make the matchday squad in Kotoko’s last five games in all competitions.
