Barcelona Offers Trial to Ghanaian Teenager David Oduro

Barcelona have extended a trial offer to promising Ghanaian left-back David Oduro, aged 17, currently showcasing his talents with Accra Lions in the Ghana Premier League.

Oduro’s impressive performances have garnered attention from European clubs, with Chelsea reportedly expressing interest in his services earlier this year.

However, after a successful trial period in London, Barcelona intervened, presenting Oduro with an opportunity to train with their junior team at La Masia.

The offer, deemed a once-in-a-lifetime chance by Oduro’s management team, led by Yussif Worjoor Abubakar and CMG Sports agent Anthony Acheampong, was promptly accepted by the young player.

Oduro has since arrived in Spain and commenced training with Barcelona’s youth squad, where he will undergo assessment and evaluation.

Despite feeling some nerves about playing for such a prestigious club, Oduro remains resolute in giving his best and seizing the opportunity.

He expressed, “It is every player’s dream to play for a big club like Barcelona, and I am no different. Once I’m here, I will do my best and see what happens.”

This presents a significant opportunity for Oduro to showcase his skills and potentially secure a place in Barcelona’s youth setup, a prospect he is keen to embrace wholeheartedly.
