Baba Rahman on target in back-to-back games for PAOK

Ghana’s Baba Rahman on target in back-to-back games for PAOK after declining Ghana callup.

Following an impressive display last Wednesday, where he not only scored but also provided an assist in a dominant 4-0 win against OFI Crete, Rahman continued his scoring form against Aris on Sunday. However, despite his goal, PAOK faced a 2-1 defeat, causing them to slip to third place in the league.

Even though the team result was disappointing, Rahman’s goal added to his season’s contributions, bringing his total to five, comprising two goals and three assists.

Based on these remarkable stats, the left-back stands as one of the most productive Ghanaian defenders in European leagues, signaling a return to his prime form.

Rahman’s recent performances evoke memories of his early career, rekindling admiration from Ghanaian football enthusiasts and reminding them of the talent that prompted Chelsea to secure him for over 20 million euros in 2015.

After navigating multiple loan spells and significant injuries, Rahman is now exhibiting top-tier football skills.

Ghanaian supporters have expressed appreciation for Rahman’s choice to prioritize club football over participating in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

This backing stems from the community’s hope that he will maintain his form and steer clear of injuries, considering the hurdles he has encountered in his professional journey.
