Ghanaian duo Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku were the heroes for Leicester City on Monday night, combining to secure a hard-fought 2–1 victory over West Bromwich Albion in the English Championship.
Playing at the King Power Stadium, Ayew gave the Foxes an early advantage in the 18th minute, reacting quickest to a cut-back from Jordan James and finishing with determination. West Brom responded before the break, as Karlan Grant calmly found the net in the 34th minute to restore parity.
Just when the contest seemed headed for a draw, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku delivered the decisive moment deep into injury time. The winger calmly converted after being set up by Stephy Mavididi, sealing all three points for Leicester City.
Ayew’s strike takes his 2026 tally to one goal and one assist, while Fatawu’s goal is his first of the year and his fifth of the 2025/26 Championship season.
Leicester City currently sit 12th on the Championship table with 37 points.
