The Ghana Government have made a provision of $800,000 to the Normalization Committer to enable them run the upcoming Special competition. Sixteen representatives from the Ghana Premier League clubs and the forty-eight from the Division One clubs met with the Normalization Committer on Tuesday morning to discuss the formalities and set up of the competition. Egypt have previously hosted the Africa Cup of Nations four times 1959, 1974 and 2006. They have managed to win three of the competitions they have hosted.
