Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil scores and provides two assists in Genk’s victory over Westerlo.  The Ghana international who missed a place in Ghana’s World Cup squad continues his fantastic form for his club, Genk. The Black Stars winger has seven goals with 12 assists in the Belgium pro league this season. Afenya Gyan inspires Cremonese to the quarter-final of the Coppa Italia after scoring in victory over Napoli. Ghana’s Afena-Gyan came off the bench to help hise side, Cremonese  eliminate Napoli from the Coppa Italia and also progress to the quarter final stage. Real Tamale United have denied reports linking David Abagna to a transfer from the club. CAF confirms Morocco’s withdrawal from ongoing CHAN championship in Algeria Morocco and  Algeria have some serious  diplomatic tensions between the two countries and this has led to Morocco withdrawing from the CHAN tournament  hosted by Algeria. In 2021, Algeria  suspended  all direct flights from Morocco as a result of the diplomatic tensions between the two countries. Morocco were denied a direct flight by Algeria to allow their CHAN team participate in the ongoing Chan tournament. Black Stars technical advisor, Chris Hughton has applied for the vacant Black Stars job. The ex Brighton coach is believed to have officially submitted his application for the vacant Black Stars coach position. Reports last week indicated Hughton was close to becoming the head coach of Swindon Town but that seems to be far from the truth.
