The Football Association is investigating after Manchester United’s Anthony Elanga was struck by an object thrown from the crowd in Sunday’s Premier League victory at Leeds United. Elanga, 19, was hit by a missile as the visitors celebrated Fred’s 70th-minute goal in the 4-2 win at Elland Road. There were also numerous unsavoury chants from both sets of supporters. FIFA has announced the rearrangement of Ghana’s final play-offs of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria next month. The fixture which was originally scheduled for Thursday, March 24, and Sunday, March 27, has been moved to Friday, March 25, and Tuesday, March 29, 2022. Nigeria’s 2008 long jump silver medalist Blessing Okagbare has been banned for 10 years for doping, the Athletics Integrity Unit announced on Friday. Government of Ghana has increased the 25% Stadium attendance for Sunday’s Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium. Stadia in the country have admitted 25% capacity since January 2021, as part of government measures to fight the novel coronavirus.
