Ashlid Enterprise donates to Asante Kotoko

Ashlid Enterprise, suppliers of sports kits, has presented ten Kotoko branded footballs and as many cartons of bottled water to management in Kumasi.

Four officials of the Accra-based business firm were at the team’s secretariat in Odeneho Kwadaso to present the items.

All the management members, except Greater Accra Representative, Edmond Ackah, were present at the short ceremony as the donation was done at the sidelines of a management meeting.

Public Relations Officer, George Yankson, who made the presentation on behalf of the business firm, said the gesture was to support the club’s Africa campaign.

The Porcupines have dropped to the CAF Confederation Cup following the elimination from the Champions League at the last elimination round. The team now awaits the opponent for the playoff round, which is the last hurdle to the group stage of the continent’s second-tier inter-club championship.

George Yankson said Ashlid Enterprise was donating the balls, designed with the club’s imposing porcupine logo, so the players can train with them as they prepare for the CAF game.

“Kotoko is a club that we all support,” stressed George Yankson. “The team is playing in Africa and so we thought it wise to support the course by presenting the balls. We want the players to train with them as they prepare for the upcoming fixture. The balls are branded with the Kotoko logo and we hope that the players would find it useful in their activities at the training grounds.”

Head of Administration and Legal Affairs, Lawyer Samuel Sarfo Duku who received the items on behalf of the club, thanked the business firm for the kind gesture. He said that the club would put the items to good use.

George Yankson was accompanied by the Chief Executive Chairman of the firm, Frederick Aglago; Ashanti Region Representative of Charity Stars FC, Moses Munko-Whyte; and Ibrahim Dickson, an official of the firm.
