Asante Kotoko release defender Daniel Darkwah

Asante Koto have part ways with defender Daniel Darkwah just a few weeks before their CAF Champions League campaign.

Darkwah’s contract is supposed to end on the 3rd of January 2020 but his agent wrote to Asante Kotoko to request for the release of the player.

Darkwah joined the Porcupines from Aduana Stars on a two-year deal in January 2018, but could not replicate his dominance at the Dormaa-based club in Kumasi.

Darkwah was widely a part player as he could not nail down a consistent place in the squad, partly due to a niggling shoulder injury.
