Talks between Asante Kotoko and Umar Bashiru have gone quiet after both parties continue to struggle to reach an agreement for the services of the player on a free transfer.

Umar Bashiru is currently a free-agent player after ending his stay at Karela United where he rejuvenated his career last season in the Ghana Premier League.

Asante Kotoko opened talks with the player weeks ago, a close source to the player’s camp confirmed to Sahara Football.

However, the player is yet to reach an agreement with the Kumasi-based club where he played a few years ago.

Sahara Football understands Umar Bashiru is currently considering several offers including offers from Asante Kotoko rivals Hearts of Oak, but the player will prioritize a move outside the country at the moment.

Asante Kotoko are currently undergoing their pre-season in Accra and could be traveling to Turkey for the second phase of their pre-season.
