Asante Kotoko defeat Nations FC 4-2 in MTN FA Cup Round 64

Asante Kotoko  secured a 4-2 victory over local rivals Nations FC in their MTN FA Cup Round 64 encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday.

The Porcupine Warriors displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, overpowering Nations FC, who struggled to match their pace.

Kotoko swiftly took a commanding 3-0 lead within the opening 20 minutes, signaling a strong start to the game. They sustained their momentum, ultimately securing advancement to the Round of 32.

Richmond Lamptey played a crucial role in Kotoko’s triumph, scoring two goals in the first half. His teammates, Isaac Oppong and Steven Mukwala, also made significant contributions, each finding the net.

Despite Nations FC managing to score two consolation goals, they couldn’t recover from their lackluster performance. Coach Kassim Mingle’s pre-match remarks didn’t materialize on the field, and his team fell short of expectations.
