Asante Kotoko announce return of midfielder, Abdul Fatawu Safiu

Safiu, who initially played for Kotoko during the 2018-2019 season and scored 13 goals in sixteen appearances, including notable performances in the CAF Confederation Cup, expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity.

His return is in line with Coach Prosper Narteh’s objective of guiding Kotoko back to the CAF Champions League.

In a statement on the club’s website, Safiu remarked, “I am very excited about this opportunity. Everyone knows Kotoko is the club that I support, and as a youngster, it was my dream to play for Kotoko. To get that opportunity twice makes me feel lucky and ready to do everything to help the team.”

This strategic move by Kotoko to reinforce the team reflects their ambition for success in both domestic and continental competitions.

As Safiu reunites with his childhood club, fans are eagerly anticipating witnessing his contributions to the team’s pursuit of excellence.
