Asamoah Gyan ruled out for rest of the season with injury

Injured NorthEast United striker Asamoah Gyan will be out for the remainder of the 2019/20 Indian Super League season.

The Ghana international last featured for NorthEast United during their 1-1 draw against Kerala Blasters on December 28th.

The Highlanders, meanwhile, have purchased Irish forward Andy Keogh as Gyan’s replacement.

NorthEast United are winless in their last six league matches and are currently ninth in the ISL standings.

The 34-year-old joined the Guwahati-based side on a free transfer after leaving Turkish club Kayserispor at the end of last season.

Gyan scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist in 8 games for the club.
