    Amiens defender Nicholas Opoku has earned a  late Black Stars call-up for upcoming Angola clash in Luanda

    Nicholas Opoku has received a late call up to join the Black Stars in Luanda for the Africa Cup of Nations Group E encounter with Angola.

    The absence of Salisu Mohammed and Alexander Djiku due to injury  has compelled coach Chris Hughton to invite Opoku to provide  further options in defence.

    Opoku has 13 caps for Ghana after making his debut in 2017. The former Berekum Chelsea man has so far registered a goal to his for the Black Stars.

    The game against Angola will be played at 11 November stadium in Luanda on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 4pm.
