Algerian side, MC Oran announce signing of Maxwell Baakoh

Ghanaian forward Maxwell Baakoh has finalized a move to Algerian club MC Oran from USM Khenchela.

Baakoh, formerly associated with Asante Kotoko SC, made the transition to MC Oran after delivering noteworthy performances in the Algerian Ligue 1.

With an impressive track record since joining USM Khenchela in the 2022/2023 season, the 28-year-old has notched up four goals in 11 appearances.

His new contract with MC Oran positions him among the top earners in Algeria.

Acknowledged for his versatility as a second striker, central attacking midfielder, and winger, Baakoh is anticipated to play a pivotal role in MC Oran’s efforts to escape the relegation zone in the latter part of the league.

Presently, the club holds 9 points in 14 matches. Baakoh’s football journey encompasses spells with Ceramica Cleopatra in the Egyptian Premier League and Sahab Club in Jordan, subsequent to his tenure with Asante Kotoko.
