AFC Bournemouth’s manager, Andoni Iraola, has praised Antoine Semenyo for his wonderful start to the season.

AFC Bournemouth’s manager, Andoni Iraola, has commended Antoine Semenyo, the Ghanaian striker, for his impressive performance against Liverpool during their match on Saturday.

Despite Bournemouth’s 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield, the 23-year-old Semenyo scored the opening goal.

Although the match’s outcome was disappointing, Iraola was pleased with Semenyo’s contribution.

Semenyo, who had recently returned from an injury that sidelined him at the end of the previous season, displayed good energy and determination throughout the game, according to Iraola.

The manager emphasized that this kind of effort is precisely what is expected from the team’s wingers and forwards.

Semenyo had also made an impact in the previous week, coming off the bench to provide an assist for Dominic Solanke’s goal against West Ham.

In the recent match, Semenyo’s early goal was countered by Luis Diaz’s equalizer shortly thereafter. Mohamed Salah then gave Liverpool the lead just before half-time.

Despite being a man down after Alexis ManAllister’s late second-half red card, Liverpool secured victory with a goal from Diogo Jota.
