Accra Lions kept their tittle hopes alive with a 3-2 victory over Dreams Fc

Accra lions continued their fine form to mount pressure on League leaders, Aduna Stars.

The Accra based side defeated Dreams Fc 3-2 to go just two points off the first position on the GPL table.

Lions opened the score line in the 20th minute through Samari’s beautifully converted penalty after a dreams handlball in their penalty box.

Dreams threatened twice but Lions goalkeeper Andrews Owusu was equal to the task making two brave saves to prevent the visitors from equalising.

Eric Danso rose high to head home from a freekick to draw Dreams level just before the half time break.

Two quick changes by Lions after the break saw Baba Apiiga and Fredrick Kesse replaced  with Daniel Awuni and Youssouf Simpara.

Awuni caused troubles for the Dreams defence with his frightening pace and skill. He won  a freekick outside the box which was expectedly converted by Amponsah.

Dreams FC drew level with a sweet  free kick from Ebenezer Adade.

Amponsah got his brace to put Lions ahead 3-2 and secured all three points for Accra Lions.

Lions are just two points behind Aduana who currently lead the GPL table with 39 points.
