Accra Lions goalkeeper, Daniel Afful named MoTM in victory over Legon Cities.

Goalkeeper Daniel Afful’s exceptional performance earned him the Man of the Match title in Accra Lions’ victory against Legon Cities during the second matchday of the Ghana Premier League.

The goalkeeper, who also plays for the Black Satellites, delivered a series of remarkable saves in the latter half of the game, thwarting Legon Cities’ attempts to secure a point at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena.

This remarkable display led to Afful achieving his first clean sheet in two games for Accra Lions, a commendable feat since his recent addition to the club prior to the commencement of the new season.

Additionally, a well-executed first-half header by winger Evans Botchway secured all three points for the hosts, propelling them up the Ghana Premier League standings.

Accra Lions’ upcoming fixture will see them traveling to Berekum to take on Chelsea on Sunday.
