Accra Hearts of Oak conclude pre-season with 2-0 victory over Nations FC.

Hearts of Oak concluded their pre-season with a well-deserved win against Ghana Premier League newcomers Nations FC at the Kpobiman Sports Complex.

The Phobians extended their unbeaten streak from the off-season, securing a 2-0 victory over Nations on Sunday afternoon, with both goals netted in the second half of the game.

Despite dominating the first half, Hearts were unable to break through Nations’ composed and resilient defense. The deadlock was finally broken in the 64th minute when midfielder Nurudeen Abdul Aziz unleashed a powerful shot from approximately 25 yards, scoring the opening goal.

Shortly after, striker Kwadwo Obeng Jnr added to the lead with a skillful header from a Dennis Nkrumah Korsah cross.

Hearts maintained an impressive unbeaten record throughout pre-season, tallying a total of 35 goals while conceding only 5 in eight test matches.

As they gear up for the upcoming 2023-24 Ghana Premier League season, the Rainbow Club is set to face RTU in their opening match scheduled for September 15th.

The Phobians are determined to clinch another Ghana Premier League title in the upcoming season after falling short in the previous campaign.
