Ghana forward Abdul Majeed Waris has completed a move to Cypriot first division  League side Anorthorsis Famagusta.

The former Nantes attacker has penned a two-year contract with Cypriot First Division club on a free transfer after departing from French club RB Strasbourg last month.

The forward attracted interest from former club FC Nantes in the summer transfer window but decided to take a new adventure by signing for Anorthorsis Famagusta.

“Anorthosis Famagusta announces the signing of a contract with footballer Abdul Majeed Waris. The agreement lasts until the summer of 2024.

“We welcome the footballer to our team and wish him every success with the “Phoenix” on his chest,” Anorthosis Famagusta announced.

Anorthosis believe the former Ghana international can help them achieve their season goals.

The 30-year-old could make his debut for Anorthosis on Saturday when they host Pafos in a league match.

Waris has previously played for Trabzonspor, Porto, Valencia, Lorient, and Nantes, among other clubs.
