Abdul Fatawu Issahaku wass on target for Leicester City in their away draw with Sheffield Wednesday

Issahaku Abdul Fatawu notched his second Championship goal for Leicester City on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, during the match against Sheffield Wednesday.

The winger showcased his scoring prowess by netting at the back post, expertly controlling Stephy Mavididi’s cross with his chest in the 23rd minute, providing the visitors with a 1-0 lead.

Sheffield Wednesday’s defenders failed to mark the 19-year-old adequately.

In a strategic move to safeguard the lead, Fatawu was substituted in the 60th minute, making way for Kasey McAteer. This decision was part of manager Enzo Maresca’s efforts to secure the advantage.

Fatawu’s noteworthy performance marked his 14th league appearance for the team.

While Leicester seemed poised to secure the victory, Jeff Hendrick’s injury-time goal leveled the score, resulting in a share of the points.
