The energetic striker wowed fans of the Ghana Premier League with his amazing display forming a deadly partnership with Joseph Esso in the recently canceled Ghana Premier League season.

It’s no doubt that his performances have caught the eye of Muaither SC, Qatar, who have splashed the cash to get their man, who has since departed to do his medicals and sign the dotted lines.

Reports making headways on the local font indicate that Accra Hearts of Oak will be the beneficiaries of a whopping $150,000.

However, Hearts’ CEO Fred Moore, insists that until everything about the Kofi Kordzi move is signed and sealed the clubs involved cannot make it official to the football public.

“When there is an announcement to make we’ll do it. We have already made the announcement that Kofi is gone for his medicals pending his move to his new club, when anything changes we will let you and the rest of the media know,”

How much they are paying us, for me, is not the most important thing. The player has got an opportunity to play outside Ghana and everybody who plays in Ghana, or 90 percent of those who play in the Ghana league whether premiership, first or second division their aim is to continue their career outside and Kofi has got a fantastic opportunity to do just that.

“That is good for him, it showed the tenacity, Kofi was spotted from a lower division league and was brought to Hearts of Oak, we gave him a platform and he’s been able to cope and done very well for the club and himself and that is the story and not the negative talk about his transfer,” Mr Moore hinted to GraphicSports

Hearts will survive in my absence – Kofi Kordzi assures club supporters https://www.saharafootball.net/hearts-will-survive-absence-kofi-kordzi-assures-club-supporters/ https://www.saharafootball.net/hearts-will-survive-absence-kofi-kordzi-assures-club-supporters/#comments Wed, 09 Sep 2020 14:08:49 +0000 http://www.saharafootball.net/?p=26872 Hearts will survive in my absence – Kofi Kordzi assures club supporters

Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Kofi Kordzi has suggested that should he leave to seek better football opportunities away from the club, it will survive without any problems knowing very well that his other colleagues would equally match up in quality or even better as things progress.

The energetic striker has attracted lots of interest from clubs around the world particularly, Qatari side Al-Saliyia.

However, media reports have remarked that both clubs have commenced fruitful negotiations with Hearts requesting an amount $200,000 before letting go of one of their prized asset.

But, Kofi Kordzi in a recent media interview assured the club’s ever-growing fan base that, the club will progress steadily in his absence, should he make that dream move to Qatar in the next few weeks.

“The Hearts team has been there since time immemorial, I have to leave to pave way for other players, it will be an opportunity to others when I leave.

“The current players can deliver the job more than some of us who are leaving”.

“I have been called into a meeting to talk about it on Thursday,” he ended.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Accra Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer Frederick Moore has reiterated the club’s posture on allowing players to leave at their will once the suitable offer has being made with the club agreeing to let go of its players.

This development comes on the back that, Kofi Kordzi is nearing a move away from the club with Qatari side in the mix of affairs.

“If any player wants to go, we won’t force them to stay in the club, Football is a team game and we have to find the best team possible to win not the best individual to win,” Frederick Moore said on Oyerepa FM.

If Kofi Kordzi leaves the club by far that will be the end of the dynamic duo’s partnership he had with Joseph Esso, who has since joined fellow Ghana Premier League rivals, Dreams F.C after failing to agree contract terms on his mammoth deal.

We won’t force any player to stay – Hearts CEO Fred Moore https://www.saharafootball.net/wont-force-player-stay-hearts-ceo-fred-moore/ https://www.saharafootball.net/wont-force-player-stay-hearts-ceo-fred-moore/#comments Wed, 09 Sep 2020 13:49:42 +0000 http://www.saharafootball.net/?p=26869 We won’t force any player to stay – Hearts CEO Fred Moore

Accra Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer Frederick Moore has suggested that the club will not stand in the way of players who are not committed to the Phobian badge.

The CEO reiterated the club’s aim in working with players, who are fully devoted to helping realize the ambitions of the club.

Fred Moore was responding to reports that striker Kofi Kordzi wants to leave for Qatar.

“If any player wants to go, we won’t force them to stay in the club, Football is a team game and we have to find the best team possible to win not the best individual to win,” Frederick Moore said on Oyerepa FM.

It’s been almost a decade since the centurion club landed a major silverware and with the club’s teeming supporters constantly pressurizing the board and management to strategize properly in order to help the club compete for honors.

They have however begun fresh contract talks with Robert Addo, Emmanuel Nettey, Benjamin Afutu, and others.

Hearts of Oak have lost Joseph Esso and with Kofi Kordzi being targeted by Qatari side, it remains to be seen if the new signings in Ademola Danjuma Kuti, Abednego Tetteh, Isaac Mensah, Nuru Sulley, and others can step up to the plate once the ball is in motion.

The Ghana Premier League season is still under consideration for a fresh start following the cancellation of the 2019-20 season due to the massive impact of the deadly coronavirus outbreak, which plagued lives and brought the world to its knees.
