Asante Kotoko defender Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has signed a five-year contract with the Kumasi based club, Sahara Football understands.




The contract of the energetic defender ended back in May, and has been in talks with the club’s management over a possible renewal since then; he sealed a new five-year contract on Monday.

The 24-year-old joined the Ghanaian giants in 2019 from Phar Rangers and has since been an integral part of the team.

Badu made 12 appearances in the Ghana Premier League and two appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup respectively last season.

Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has been hospitalized In Italy after being diagnosed with a pulmonary microembolism.




Serie A side Hellas Verona announced that the player was taken to the hospital where he was diagnosed with a pulmonary microembolism – a blood clot in the lungs.

Hellas Verona released a statement saying the player has been hospitalized following the incident and will remain under observation for some days.

“The player’s conditions are good and he will remain under observation for a few days.”
“This is a small blood clot in the lung, which can be extremely serious, even fatal, if not treated.”
Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu joined Hellas Verona from Udinese on loan with an option to buy.
