Stop blaming Dr. Kyei and the management – Nana Gyambibi Coker

Dr. Kwame Kyei’s personal assistant Nana Gyambibi Coker has stated that the players should be blamed for the club’s failures in Africa and not the management.

Asante Kotoko crashed out of the CAF Confederation Cup after losing 2-1 on aggregate against FC San Pedro on Sunday in Abidjan.

Following the club’s failure in Africa, fans have questioned the management of the club and their decision to appoint Kjetil Zachariassen and sacking CK Akonnor.

Nana Coker came to the defence of the management insisting that the players should be blamed instead of the coach.

“How can’t we deal with the inability and the indiscipline attitude of the players and stop blaming Dr. Kyei and his management whenever Kotoko losses a match,” Coker told OTEC Fm.

“Why must management be always accused and vilified anytime Kotoko loses a match whiles a player has been signed and paid to deliver on the pitch. Is the team beyond being beaten in a competition? He asked.

Kjetil Zacahariassen didn’t travel back with the Asante Kotoko squad on Monday and has been advised by the club to resign, an offer the Norwegian refused to accept.
