Special Competition: Ashgold beat Kotoko in Obuasi
Asante Kotoko suffered their second defeat in the Special Competition on Sunday after Mark Agyekum’s goal sealed all three points for Ashantigold.
Ashgold took the game to Kotoko as they dominated the first few minutes of the game, Appiah McCarthy had the first chance to put his team in front but his effort was off target.
Ashgold scored the only goal of the game just few minutes before the break, Mark Agyekum finds himself at the tip of oan attack created by Amos Nkrumah to shoot pass Felix Annan.
Emmanuel Gyamfi squandered a chance to restore parity in the 55th minute as the winger effort went over the bar.
Ashantigold held on and played deep in the remaining minutes and secured all three points.
