Lawrence Agyekum shines in WAFA’s loss to Elmina Sharks

WAFA SC midfielder, Lawrence Agyekum picked up the Man of the Match award in his side’s narrow loss to Elmina Sharks at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in matchday 20 fixture of the ongoing Ghana Premier League 2020-21 season.



The young midfielder, who has become a mainstay in, Coach Narteh’s side since returning from injury put in a masterclass act in the heart of midfield which wooed match officials to hand him the MOTM award after that stupendous performance.

Meanwhile, WAFA’s Lawrence Agyekum opined in an interview with Saharafootball.net after picking the man of the match that “I’m very happy for the MOTM,it was a great performance I put up today but on the other hand I am sad the team lost”.

“I think it has motivated me more to work harder and I know this is just the beginning of greatness” he ended.

The stalwart midfielder, who defied odds in today’s fixture has put in featured in a staggering 14 appearances out of 20 for his side so far in the league.

The result sees Elmina Sharks up to 10th whiles WAFA drop to 11th on the log.
