Hearts will survive in my absence – Kofi Kordzi assures club supporters

Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Kofi Kordzi has suggested that should he leave to seek better football opportunities away from the club, it will survive without any problems knowing very well that his other colleagues would equally match up in quality or even better as things progress.

The energetic striker has attracted lots of interest from clubs around the world particularly, Qatari side Al-Saliyia.

However, media reports have remarked that both clubs have commenced fruitful negotiations with Hearts requesting an amount $200,000 before letting go of one of their prized asset.

But, Kofi Kordzi in a recent media interview assured the club’s ever-growing fan base that, the club will progress steadily in his absence, should he make that dream move to Qatar in the next few weeks.

“The Hearts team has been there since time immemorial, I have to leave to pave way for other players, it will be an opportunity to others when I leave.

“The current players can deliver the job more than some of us who are leaving”.

“I have been called into a meeting to talk about it on Thursday,” he ended.

Meanwhile, in a related development, Accra Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Officer Frederick Moore has reiterated the club’s posture on allowing players to leave at their will once the suitable offer has being made with the club agreeing to let go of its players.

This development comes on the back that, Kofi Kordzi is nearing a move away from the club with Qatari side in the mix of affairs.

“If any player wants to go, we won’t force them to stay in the club, Football is a team game and we have to find the best team possible to win not the best individual to win,” Frederick Moore said on Oyerepa FM.

If Kofi Kordzi leaves the club by far that will be the end of the dynamic duo’s partnership he had with Joseph Esso, who has since joined fellow Ghana Premier League rivals, Dreams F.C after failing to agree contract terms on his mammoth deal.
