Nebojsa Kapor disappointed with goalless draw against Dreams FC https://www.saharafootball.net/nebojsa-kapor-disappointed-with-goalless-draw-against-dreams-fc/ https://www.saharafootball.net/nebojsa-kapor-disappointed-with-goalless-draw-against-dreams-fc/#respond Sat, 03 Oct 2026 17:24:13 +0000 https://www.saharafootball.net/?p=47985 Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Nebojsa Kapor expressed frustration after the goalless draw game against Dreams FC.

The two teams with contrasting fortunes went head-to-head for supremacy at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The Phobians controlled more of the possession and created the greater number of chances but failed to break the deadlock against a resolute Dreams defence.

Reflecting on the performance, Kapor said: “We made a lot of technical mistakes in the final third in the first half. We tried to fix them after the break, but it didn’t work. Hopefully, we can address these issues before our next match.”

The result leaves Hearts with eight points from five games, while bottom-side Dreams earned a hard-fought second point of the season. Both teams will now look to sharpen their attacking play as the campaign continues.

Match Review : Dreams FC and Hearts of Oak share the spoils https://www.saharafootball.net/match-review-dreams-fc-and-hearts-of-oak-share-the-spoils/ https://www.saharafootball.net/match-review-dreams-fc-and-hearts-of-oak-share-the-spoils/#respond Sat, 03 Oct 2026 17:05:26 +0000 https://www.saharafootball.net/?p=47982 Dreams FC and Accra Hearts of Oak played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw in their Ghana Premier League Matchday 5 clash at Dawu Stadium on Saturday.

The Still Believe Boys, rooted near the bottom of the table with just one point from their opening four games, produced a disciplined defensive display to frustrate the more fancied Phobians.

Hearts enjoyed the better of the possession and created more dangerous attacks, registering four shots on target to Dreams’ two. Yet clear-cut chances were at a premium. Both sides picked up a yellow card, while Dreams earned the majority of the corners as they looked to spring counter-attacks.

The result extends Dreams’ winless start to the 2026/27 campaign but provides a valuable point against one of the league’s stronger sides. For Hearts, it is a missed opportunity to climb higher after suffering their first defeat of the season in the previous round.

Following their home loss to Aduana Stars over the weekend and the departure of Eric Tinker from the club, they needed to get back on track.

The Porcupine Warriors started the game brightly, dictating play and found the back of the net after an intricate round of passing before Opoku Agyemang coolly slotted in the opener.

That was a 1–0 nil lead for Kotoko at the expense of the travelling team, who came out of their shells looking for the equalizer.

The win gives Asante Kotoko three vital points as they look to climb up the league standings and build momentum heading into the upcoming fixtures.

“We came with a tactical plan” – Boadu on beating Kotoko https://www.saharafootball.net/we-came-with-a-tactical-plan-boadu-on-beating-kotoko/ https://www.saharafootball.net/we-came-with-a-tactical-plan-boadu-on-beating-kotoko/#respond Mon, 28 Sep 2026 15:15:43 +0000 https://www.saharafootball.net/?p=47631 Aduana FC head coach Samuel Boadu has heaped immense praise on his side after they pinned Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Before this game, Boadu had confidently remarked that he would come out as a victor against the Porcupine Warriors and true to his words his team best them.

Stephen Amankona capitalized on fifth minute mistake from Danlad Ibrahim for the opener.

The visiting team were reduced to ten-man after Richard Agyemang was sent off for a second bookable offense but they held on to cap off their win with a Seidu Saana goal, making it 2-0 away from home.

Speaking after the match at the Baba Yara Stadium, Boadu revealed he had prepared his players for a fast start. “I told my players before the game that we would get an early goal, so they needed to stay concentrated when maintaining our attacking balance,” the coach said.

Boadu has handed the Porcupine Warriors their first defeat of the season as well as basking a back-to-back win following a slow start to the season.

They would be at home to Swedru All Black at the Nana Agyemang Badu II park.
