Breaking: Kotoko coach Zachariassen refuses to resign after CAF CC exit

Asante Kotoko coach Kjetil Zacahariassen has refused to resign from his position after failing to guide his team to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Kotoko Chairman Dr. Kyei advised the Norwegian to resign from his position after his side lost 2-1 on aggregate against FC San Pedro but the coach has declined his request and has no intention of resigning.

According to Kjetil Zachariassen’s agent Mr. Kouadio Charles, Dr. Kyei called to tell him to ask his client to resign, an offer which his client declined and after that the Asante Kotoko management revealed that they cannot guarantee the safety of the coach in Kumasi.

Mr. Kouadio stated that Kjetil Zachariassen won’t be coming back to Ghana with the team following Dr Kyei’s comments.
