Anas asked for a $400,000 bribe – Former GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi

Anas asked for a $400,000 bribe - Former GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi

Former GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi spoke for the first time after his corruption scandal, he gave his own side of the story.

Kwesi Nyantakyi was banned for life from all football activities after breaking FIFA’s bribery and corruption rules.

Speaking for the first time after the exposé, Kwesi Nyantakyi made several claims. He claims that Anas’s Tiger Eye is a criminal organization and likened them to ISIS.

He also claims that Anas asked him for $400,000 to drop the case, and later reduced it to $150,000

“Anas asked for $400,000 and later reduced it to $150,000. They are doing the thing for money and not for national interest”

“Tiger Eye PI is a criminal organization that behaves like ISIS. They have no license to behave like they do, recording people with reckless abandon and destroying reputations.”

Kwesi Nyantakyi also revealed that he never met Anas face to face, he only met the late journalist Ahmed.

“That’s how they work. You only meet Ahmed, and then later Anas claims credit. The only person I met in Dubai was Ahmed.”

Kwesi Nyantakyi claimed that his enemies in Ghana football contributed and paid Anas $400,000 for the Number 12 documentary that brought him down last year.

“People at the FA who wanted to see my back sponsored Anas exposé with $400,000 to do what they did,” he told Net 2 television

“Yes, it was $400,000. What he did was a sponsored. The so-called investigation.”

Nyantakyi has insisted the footage has been doctored to falsely incriminate him.

The adjudicatory chamber of Fifa’s ethics committee said the ban for life applied to “all football-related activities at both national and international level”.
