AFCON 2025 : Brahim Díaz adjudged Puma Golden Boot winner
Despite failing to score the penalty that would have ended a 50-year wait for the AFCON trophy, Brahim Díaz has picked up the Puma Golden Boot trophy to assuage his pain.
The attacking talent plying his trade with Real Madrid in Spain was adjudged top scorer at the end of the competition with five goals.
He scored the first goal of his AFCON 2025 campaign in a 2-0 win against Comoros.
He followed up with another goal for Mali and Zambia.
In the Round of 16 against Tanzania and Cameroon in the quarterfinals, he scored again.
He was a man in form, scoring in five consecutive games.
