Taabea Donates MacBook for development of Kotoko Express App Iphone Version


Taabea Group of Companies has donated two MacBook computers to Kotoko Express App for the development of the iPhone version of the news portal.

The computers, worth GHc 10, 000, were handed to the Chief Executive Officer of the club, George Amoako, by the CEO of the company, Christian Kwasi Agyeman, at the Kotoko secretariat on Thursday.

The gesture is a response to a request made to the company by the developers and technical handlers of the App, JimaTech Technologies.



The Kotoko Express App, which is an official news portal of Kotoko, started operations in January but was open to only Android users.

There have been clarion calls for access from supporters who use iPhones for the App can be downloaded on Play store.

The donation comes as a major boost to JimaTech Technologies towards its move to make the App accessible to iPhone users across the world.



George Amoako thanked the company and said urged the fans to subscribe to the development of the iPhone version would boost subscription.

“This is a big donation because the gadget is the tool needed to build the iPhone App, and I will tell the fans to subscribe to make the donation relevant,” says George Amoako after receiving the items.

“We thank Taabea for coming to our aid and wish that other companies follow suit, so that our supporters, home and abroad, can access news and information from the club.”

Kwasi Agyeman also said: “We saw that the App was opened only to android version, and so made this donation so that the club can develop an iPhone version to create access to Apple users all over the world.”
