Welcome to the first Sahara Football Scout Picks Squad of the 2017/18 season. This will offer you a great insight in making decisions for your Fantasy Game Week picks.
This article will be about players we think will have the best chance of success across the four positions (goalkeeper, defence, midfield & forward).
THE SCOUTS’ PICKS :
Jordan Pickford (£5.0m) : Everton’s newly signed goalkeeper faces Stoke City at home, is our top choice this game week. He may have kept only 4 clean sheets with Sunderland last season, but it’s worth to know he had 2.20 saves per goal.
Ben Davies (£5.5m) : With Danny Rose still out injured since December, Ben Davies has been the main figure at LWB for Spurs. He’s also impressed in the pre-season, makes up at defence this game week against newcomers Newcastle.
Ahmed Hegazi (£4.5m) : On-loan from Ah Ahly, the Egyptian should start against the Cherries in Gary McAuley’s absence. West Brom vs Cherries hasn’t produced goals in their last four meetings, which increases a chance for a clean sheet for the home team.
David Luiz (£6.0m) : The Brazilian had a brilliant return to the team last term as they finished champions. Chelsea kept 16 clean sheets. We don’t see Burnley scoring at the Bridge.
Willian (£7.0m) : With Eden Hazard out, and having had a good outing in the preseason, the Brazilian should start and also prove effective when they welcome Burnley on Saturday.
Nathan Redmond (£6.5m) : Saints welcome Swansea at home in the opening game. Redmond was Saints’ top scorer last season with 7 goals and looks set for a better season.
Leroy Sané (£8.5m) : Pep has many options in midfield, but considering Leroy Sané’s performance last season, he should start against new arrivals Brighton and Hove Albion. We expect a rampant win for City.
Wilfried Zaha (£7.0m) : The Ivorian may not have been consistent last season, but he still proves to be a threat and an FPL asset. Palace begin the season at home to newly promoted Huddersfield. He bagged 7 goals and 9 assists in 2016/17 season.
Sadio Mané (£9.5m) : Last season, Liverpool did a double against Watford. The Reds’ forwards have been firing this preseason too. The fit again Senegalese is a big threat and should get us those points on Saturday.
Romelu Lukaku (£11.5m) : Scored on his official debut for Manchester United in the Super Cup against Real Madrid, the Belgian striker is our captain for GW1. A firehouse at home, also with an incredible stats against West Ham having played against them ten times and scored in nine games. We expect him to continue with his stellar form.
Harry Kane (£12.5m) : Spurs start the season against Newcastle at Saint James’ Park. The Golden boot winner makes our final selection this game week. He’s capable of making it three in a row this season, and should start with his scoring boots against Rafa Benitez’s men on Sunday.
