Roberto Firmino has revealed who his preference in terms of who Liverpool will draw in Champions League quarter-final.
The Brazilian forward has enjoyed his most productive season for the Reds so far, scoring 13 league goals and assisting a further seven in 28 appearances for Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool have also enjoyed a fine Champions League campaign all round and have been rewarded with a quarter-final appearance for the first-time since 2009, in which Firmino admitted he would like to play an English side.
“Yes, we’d like a draw against an English club,” he said, reports the Telegraph.
And the Brazilian believes his side’s record against their English counterparts stands them in good stead.
“Why not?” he continued.
“We have shown in the past few seasons we can beat all the English clubs. Our record is good against them. We feel we have played well against the top English clubs and shown we can beat them.”
In contrast, Can said on Tuesday that he would prefer for Liverpool to avoid another English side in the Champions League quarter-finals.
